How much do business portraits normally cost?

Even if you go over to the mall and visit a national chain that maybe has a trained photographer, you're looking at $65 for one image (not retouched / enhanced). Oops, you just sat on a kid's sucker.

Smaller studios charge in the $80 to $100 range for 15 to 30 minutes and an image or two, possibly retouched.

Larger studios charge $150 to $250 and up - can you say "overhead"?

I'll put my work up against any of these guys or gals. If we photograph as few as six people during our minimum two-hour time period, your cost per person is only $50. At your place - no travel, no waiting, no worries!

Our two-hour minimum can actually be cost effective for a busy professional who knows time is money. My lawyer charges $500 an hour for his time (and many charge much more). So $300 for me to wait around two hours until he is ready to commit 15 minutes of time makes financial sense. Going out anywhere for a portrait session would at least take an hour.

Our hourly rate also encourages everyone to be on time. If everyone is ready to go when it's their turn and cooperates, we can photograph quite a few people. On average, 5 to 15 minutes is spent with each person.

Don't worry if you don't have a big group (or any group at all).
