Michael Lentz Photography is a small, service-oriented, home studio. Created over ten years ago as an alternative to day care for our first child, we provide imaging solutions for both personal and commercial clients. While we understand staying ahead of the technological curve with state-of-the-art gear is important, we realize our cameras and computers won't get us very far without our most important tools - inner creativity and talent. We are highly capable of providing studio and location photography.
An award-winning photographer, Mike has been hooked on photography since his grandpa gave him his first camera. A photo-nerd in high school, he went on to graduate from Ball State University with a photojournalism degree. Although trained as a photojournalist, he was led to portraiture and received training under fire by working for a national studio photographing babies in department stores. After freelancing and photo lab work, big business came knocking and he accepted a liaison position with an Indiana Fortune 500 company where he worked extensively with Kodak concerning film quality issues. After more freelance work and a stint with a national studio taking portraits in central Indiana schools, Michael Lentz Photography was created partly as an avenue to get their new baby out of daycare. Mike considers himself fortunate that his passion and work are one and revolves around his family.
